Ebonyi State House of Assembly Speaker Mourns Two Community Leaders
The Rt. Hon. Moses Ije Odunwa, Speaker of the Ebonyi State House of Assembly, showed heartfelt solidarity as he paid respects to the families of two esteemed community figures. His visit to Enyim Okpuitumo and Effiemgbabu Inyimagu in Ikwo Local Government Area was a poignant gesture of condolence and support, honoring the legacies of the late Mrs. Alobu, Mary Nwanchonu, and the late Mr. Godfrey Nwanchor. His words of comfort and encouragement reflected the enduring impact left by these revered individuals in the local community.
Yesterday, the Speaker of the Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Moses Ije Odunwa, went to Enyim Okpuitumo in Ikwo Local Government Area. He went there to represent the Governor, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, and offer his condolences to Barr Wilfred Sunday Alobu. They were mourning the passing of Barr Wilfred's mother, Mrs. Alobu, Mary Nwanchonu, who was 76 years old.
The Speaker said that Mrs. Alobu was a great woman who dedicated herself to helping the community and treated everyone like her own children. He prayed for her soul and encouraged the grieving family to find comfort in her good life.
The Speaker also went to Effiemgbabu Inyimagu, Ikwo L. G. A., to support the family of the late Mr. Godfrey Nwanchor, who was laid to rest at the age of 71. He was accompanied by members of the 7th Assembly.

Friday, grassroots spirit drove Rt. Hon. Moses Ije Odunwa - Speaker, Ebonyi State House of Assembly far down Enyim Okpuitumo in Ikwo Local Government Area, in place of His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru - Governor of Ebonyi State, to condole with Barr Wilfred Sunday Alobu as the remains of his late Mother, Matriarch of the Alobu Family - the Late Mrs Alobu, Mary Nwanchonu were committed to Mother Earth at 76 years.

Conveying the condolences of His Excellency the Governor to the bereaved Family, the Rt. Hon. Speaker described Madam Alobu as a Woman of Substance, who gave of herself to Community building, and accorded a motherly reception to all the much she accorded her own Children.
As he joined others to pray for the peaceful repose of her Soul, he asked the grieving family to draw hope and inspiration from the virtuous life she led.
The Rt. Hon. Speaker also traveled to Effiemgbabu Inyimagu, Ikwo L. G. A. to commiserate with the Family of the Late Mr Godfrey Nwanchor who was laid to rest today at 71 years. Mr. Speaker reached all out in company of Members of the 7th Assembly.
