Saturday, Rt. Hon. Moses Ije Odunwa — Speaker, Ebonyi State House of Assembly, was at Ebora Oferekpe Inyimagu in Ikwo L. G. A to condole with Dr. Smart Ebinga on the interment of his Grandma, Matriarch of the Okoi Family - the late Mrs Justina Abeng Okoi Esse, who died at the fulfilled age of 108.
The Rt. Hon. Speaker was animated with great sympathy for the Okoi Family, and was clearly heard casting a glow on the faces of the grieving people when he called out a number of people-minded Projects which he assured the Nwifuru-led Administration of Ebonyi State has proposed to site at the Area, notable of which is a symbolic headway Bridge proposed to connect People of the Area with their Cross River State Brothers through the Oferekpe River, and the construction of Obubra-Oferekpe Road previously awarded by the Government of Ebonyi State and now taken over by the Federal Government.
The Rt. Hon. Speaker further led the Commissioner for Works, Engr. Stanley Lebechi Mbam; Member, Ebonyi State House of Assembly (Ebonyi North West Constituency), Hon. Aloysius Nwodo and others who kept him company to tour the resourceful Oferekpe Beach in valuing the worth and scheme of the proposed Bridge.
